Hi Michelle!!

Thanks for the latest batch of photos - it looks like such an amazing place! Sounds like you leave no time for relaxing - although swimming in lagoons must be pretty great. Are you fluent in Spanish now?

At this end, summer seems to have already arrived - magnolia trees have already lost their blooms, and the temptation to jump in the lake grows everyday. And of course, summer concert festivals are announced - we just got tickets to a July concert that includes Arcade Fire, Clap Your Hands, and Bjork in the hills nearby.

Can't wait to hear about the next stop!

Danielle,

Sounds like an amazing concert! What a perfect line-up!

I am currently in San Cristobal de Las Casa, Mexico and am definitely relaxing here. This is one of my favourite cities and so I have decided to stay awhile. I will post pictures and info soon.

I´m very excited for this weekend because the Banff Mountain Film Festival is here! I saw the festival in January in Edmonton but they are showing different films so it should prove to be just as rewarding. Have you ever heard of it?

I learn new Spanish vocabulary everyday but am by no means fluent. I just know enough to get around and have some small conversations, in the present tense... After a month or two of scuba diving and hanging out on the Caribbean coast I hope to go back and study some more.

Yes Michelle,
I just visited your blog for the first time. I enjoyed every word. Oh such truths re: cameras and pictures and i can enjoy your journey as I watch your pictures and would not be able to do that if it were all people. I must admit I loved the little fellow in the macadamia nuts. So happy you put a name to your travelling companion. I'm sure it makes every journey more interesting and fun to share it with someone. Thank you for the amazing sharing you are gifted with. Anxiously awaiting the next step of the journey.
